Hi, I'm stowe!
I am a queer artist, graphic designer, and parent currently living on unceded Dakota homelands, Mni Sota Makoce, Minneapolis, Minnesota. I am curious, detail-oriented, and passionate about design for good. I believe design is at its best when used to connect, uplift, and empower our communities.
My professional experiences range from fine art studios, galleries, and printshops, to small business ownership, freelancer and in-house design teams. My freelance design work is based on collaborative practices working mostly with independent artists, community organizations, non-profits and small businesses.
I received a BFA, concentrating in printmaking and drawing, from the University of Minnesota in 2007 and a certificate in graphic design from Hunter College (NYC) in 2013. I am currently pursuing an MA in Graphic and Web Design at Minneapolis College of Art and Design.
When I’m not working on client projects you can find me gardening, exploring nature, making art, and generally relearning the world through the eyes of my kiddo.
