I designed and illustrated this poster while working as a graphic designer at the Minneapolis Park and Recreation Board.
The Annual Minneapolis Monarch Festival, put on by the MPRB, celebrates the monarch butterfly’s amazing 2,300-mile migration from Minnesota to Mexico with music, food, dance, hands-on art, native plant sales and plenty of opportunities to get up close with monarch butterflies. An estimated 8,000 people attend this annual event, of which approximately 30-40% are native Spanish speakers.
A busy city street where people walk by a large bright poster of a Monarch butterfly advertises the Minneapolis Monarch Festival.
