Graphic Design + Creative Code Experiment
This poster series was created as an experiment using creative code as a design tool. I wanted to reimagine the PSA posters of post 911 america's, "If you see something, say something" to instead consider staying vigilant for positive and even liberatory things in our communities.
The black background text designs were generated in p5.js, where I experimented with writing code to create randomized patterns of text inputs. These random patterns could be stopped and downloaded as an image with the click of a button. The image was then brought into photoshop where the footer was added and the poster completed.
Two outdoor poster stands in the dark night illuminated by single lights over the posters. One poster has the words Sharing Power, shown in red and teal and arranged in a random pattern. The background is black. The bottom of the poster has a white square that reads, "Stay vigilant for sharing power". In the corner is a small drawing of an old radio town next to that reads, Broadcast Liberation.
